Assal Badrkhani is a Senior Litigation Paralegal at Arias, Sanguinetti, Wang & Torrijos, LLP, and the American Association for Justice's 2023 "Paralegal of the Year". She has seventeen years of experience in civil litigation focusing on personal injury, civil rights, sexual assault, and catastrophic injury cases. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from UCLA and earned her Paralegal Certificate from California State University. Assal is a member of AAJ, CAOC, SFTLA and CAALA. In addition to speaking on legal topics within these organizations, she also serves a leadership role among CAALA legal staff. Assal is fluent in Farsi, has an unhealthy obsession with the Freedom of Information Act, and thrives on investigating witnesses when she’s not busy raising her amazing mini-me.
